Driving
is an activity in which it is possible for disabled people to
participate on equal terms
with the able-bodied.
The sense of freedom and new found self respect experienced by
our disabled drivers has proved to be a great incentive to all
involved
For
those who have ridden but their disability has progressed making
it impossible to continue riding, driving has opened a door
which had seemed to be closing.

A Forest Drive
|
In
addition being wheelchair bound is no longer an obstacle to
driving a pony. Specially built vehicles with ramps have been
designed to accommodate a disabled person in a wheelchair.
Safety is paramount and an experienced companion driver, with a
second pair of reins always accompanies a disabled driver
whether wheelchair bound or not.
Founded in 1984, originally as the Sanders Watney Driving Group,
we are now a registered charity No:1102116
titled
New Forest Disabled Driving,
a company limited by guarantee No:5025076 |
